GAMBIAN CABINET, PRESENT-DAY
In the wake of Adama Barrow’s newly commenced presidency, 20 new ministers have been appointed to the Gambian Cabinet. His choice of appointees has demonstrated preference for the coalitions that launched him into power which has sparked a wave of criticism from underrepresented groups, resulting in a growing umbrella opposition group in Gambia. Despite this, the Cabinet has stood tall and is now tasked with piecing back together the country after its first peaceful democratic transition. In this committee, we will tackle various issues currently facing the Gambian Cabinet, including leader accountability after a democratic transition and the economic crisis and growth. However, the cabinet of ministers will have to set their own agenda and discuss the issues they see more pressing at the time.
